The world is such a small place. Now I recently caught up with Ying Lai, a friend from high school tuition years.
She really surprised me today when she sprang the news that we actually went to the same kindergarten as well! What's even whackier was that she had scans of the kindergarten pictures ready!!! How's that for some nostalgic shock for a Tuesday afternoon hey?
See if you can spot me in the picture. It really took me a while to even recognise myself.
What really amazes me though is how little I remember of my kindergarten years. For some reason that phase of my life really seems to be a blur - heck "it seems like I've got amnesia and I'm trying to go walk back down memory lane" as Ying Lai mentioned!
After deliberating for a long long time, I have finally bought my first laptop yesterday at good ol' Lowyat Plaza.
Yup! I have now gone mobile. :)
Well, I have never ever thought I'd need a laptop until I moved to KL. I really do not want to lug my trusty PC everywhere with me so unfortunately so I just had to bite the bullet and get one.
As I have never really owned a laptop before nor have I ever owned any Apple product before for the matter, this fellow really feels very alien to me as I grow accustomed to how simple everything looks and feels.
Not to mention that now I have every right now to sit in those Starbucks cafes with a cup of coffee and surfing the Internet aimlessly for the entire night.
Rather than taking tonnes of pictures of my lovely new laptop which seems to be the norm for tonnes of Apple hippies all over the world I have decided to do what every other girl does with their laptops with built in cameras. Come to think of it it's not only them Apple hippies, but it seems that anyone with a webcam nowadays. The line is certainly blurring indeed.
What - don't show me your shocked faces, have a look at Friendster and Facebook and tell me I am talking through my waste producing hole. Hah! :)
Ok here goes. I fired up this utility that is aptly named PhotoBooth, and snap snap snap.
Here's me with my "I am now a shocked Mac user face".
Hmmm pretty fun this built-in web cam thing so maybe I'll take some more. Afterall, girl hippies especially will be taking like 20-30 pics.
Just a short entry for a quick update all about me. Firstly - thanks to everyone who has been asking about how I have been ever since returning to Malaysia.
It's now been more than a month since moved back to Malaysia, to my home in Penang. I have been enjoying the break from work and the computer, while I slowly look for a new career path and job. I thank all my friends who has taken the initiative to help me in this regard.
While doing all this, I have been able to spend quite a lot of quality time with my family and my girlfriend. In the mean time I think I have also started to put on a bit of weight again - thanks to the reduced amount of fitness activities. Which is not good. :(
Either way, no real complaints as I don't think I have had much trouble adapting back to the lifestyle here (well I'm not working yet so maybe that's a harder part). Well hang on, there is ONE complaint.
[start rant]I have realised that for some reason - some Malaysians cannot resist smoking in shopping centres (which by the way is against the law)!!! There are some inconsiderate imbeciles who will simply light up and pretend nobody really sees them until you stare at them with the worst possible "You stupid moron" look, and they'll put it out... on the floor! And these are the fellows that you catch - and not the dumber and more disgusting d#*kheads smoking in the toilets.
Ok, maybe this smoking in toilets thing should be in a seperate entry but I just can't be bothered at this point.[end rant]
I would like to end this entry by leaving you with a picture of Cookie - which if you haven't realised is my male Maltepom (Maltese x Pomeranian) - and my aunt had thought it would be a funny thing to dress him up in a female doggy cheongsam outfit which belonged to my sister's dog.
