So I'm 26 today.

Do I feel any different? Not really.

I don't mind birthdays, I really do enjoy the attention. Hey - it's the one day you're supposed to be special. So enjoy it all really on your one special day of the year.

I celebrated my 26th birthday a little earlier during the weekend. Well you know what the Chinese say - celebrating earlier is OK, but celebrating later is no good!

In case you're wondering when it is, the real day is this Thursday the 30th! Heheh.

For the first time ever, we threw a themed party. And what better way to start it then to go Gothic?

Saturday 2 July 06 - 11 am. Location? This small park on Creswick Street, Hawthorn.

Well, I was still frying my bee hoon at 10 am, so naturally we were late. 40 mins late to be exact...

Anyways when we got there, the BBQ was already on the way - and Andrew and Su Yi had forgotten the satay sauce so they went back home to get it (they took 1 & 1/2 hours... they blamed it on traffic...).

Apparently Hog's Breath slow cooks their steaks for up to 18 hours. I don't really know how they do it, but if they say they do it, I take their word for it. Here's a quote from their website.

"We slow cook our Prime Rib for up to 18hours, then finish with high temperature searing on the char grill to seal in the flavour for your enjoyment."

This was our destination for Ben's pre-birthday dinner.

The restaurant was a family-style restaurant with a nice traditional 80's style theme (well I think anyway).
