Oriental Spoon

| 2 Comments | No TrackBacks

Oriental Spoon is a Korean restaurant located smack bang in the city right beside Melbourne Central on La Trobe Street.

Their exact address - 254 Latrobe Street, and if you're planning to visit during the weekend with a relatively large group, do give them a call at (03) 9654 9930 to make a booking.

The first thing you'll notice when you walk into the restaurant is that the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Most of the customers seems to be students, and there is always a large number of Korean customers - which is a good thing in my books.

They have a good selection of dishes in their menu from your regular Korean dishes to BBQs and hot pots.

Kimchi Grandma

Kimchi Grandma is a Korean restaurant located at 125 Koornang Rd, Carnegie. Actually this is right beside Kuala Lumpur Restaurant that I reviewed earlier.

I've heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so I think it was high time we tried it out.

Here's what the place looks like from outside.

Jay's Farewell at Han Guuk Guan

Jay is a friend of SY from Thailand studying in the same course as she is. Since she's finished her course, this was her last weekend here before she flies back on Thursday for good.

She recommended we go to this Korean place.

Han Guuk Guan off Victoria Street (near Exhibition Street junction)

Let me tell you, this is not an easy place to find. It's situated off Victoria Street, walking into a small path to go in.

Here's a picture of everyone (minus me taking pictures of course).

Let's have a look at the food we had next.

Rinesh moves to Sydney

I've been slack. This entry should have been out days ago. But I have my excuses. biggrin.gif

Anyways, Rinesh was leaving for Sydney this week. So we had a whole day's of activities planned out just as a goodbye thing during the weekend.

Yum char at Plume

Badminton in the morning, then it was over to Plume in Doncaster (my favourite Yum Char restaurant in Melbourne!) for some good ol' yum char.

We practically filled the table with food even before Matthew (who was late) got there.
